I keep forgetting that I have this blog, maybe one day I will get used to it.
Over the past couple of weeks the Lord has really proven Himself faithful through His people. People that I never expected to give towards this trip have given. Thank you for giving. I am comforted in knowing that my God will provide for this.
We had our second team meeting this week and o my word I am so excited! We watched a video about a team who did a trip that is similar to ours. They did ESL (English Second Language) camps for 5 weeks in China. Their schedule was a 3 hour classroom time in the morning followed by fun activities (science, cooking, games, sports, music) in the afternoon. And then they got to go home with their students in the evening. After just a few minutes watching the DVD I wanted to leave right then! The opportunity is so life changing. I am just praying that the Lord would use me now in whatever way to prepare for this summer. I can already see how events in my life will help me in this trip.
This is a blog for my supporters to be able to stay in contact with now and during my trip to China.

The Start of Something New
Blogging is not my thing. It is typically something I make fun of. In my opinion, who actually cares about what other people write? Who has that much time? I certainly do not, but I am a student who is studying my brains out to get a good college education.
So, why do I have a blog when I don't exactly care for it? Great question! There is a small event taking place this summer, I am going to China. Okay, so maybe it is a big deal! I'm not going there to vacation for a week and travel the city. Nope, I am going because I feel the Lord leading me there. I am not moving there in case you were wondering, I am going there as a missions trip for 5 weeks to teach ESL (English Second Language) to students. You're right, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with my major at school, but I am called. I have no idea what I will learn, how I will grow, who I will influence, where exactly I am going, or what I will be teaching, but I know that this is where I should be this summer. The Lord works in strange ways that I don't understand. This life with Christ is crazy and it doesn't make sense, but without Him I don't make sense, therefore I choose to follow.
I am writing this blog so that you who are partnering with me for this trip can be updated on prayer requests, financial support, and my journey to China.
I have bittersweet emotions about this trip, but hey let's just see what the Lord is going to do ;)
Where You lead, I will follow.
